• Obituary/Death Notice: Watertown Daily Times, 30 Oct 2001. 4 Caroline B. Manning, 92, formerly of Cherry Street, died Monday evening at the Lewis County Residential Health Care Facility, Lowville, where she had resided since 1995.
Mrs. Manning was a cook and cafeteria worker at South Lewis Central School, Turin, and worked at the forner Cozy Corner restaurant, the former Fairchild Dairy and for Bert and Betty Green, Lyons Falls.
Born May 16, 1909, in Utica, daughter of Michael and Mary Pugliese Belmont, she attended Lyons Falls schools.
She married Harry J. Manning on Sept. 8, 1928, in St. John's Catholic Church. Mr. Manning died Oct. 25, 1969.
Mrs. Manning was a communicant of St. John's Catholic Church, the Lyons Falls Civic Club and the Lyons Falls Senior Citizens.
Surviving are a son, Robert, Lyons Falls; three daughters, Mrs. James (Ann) Brown and Mrs. Richard (Julie) Sellers, both of Lyons Falls, and Mary Poore, Constableville; two sisters, Julie Belmont and Lonnie Belmont, both of Port Leyden; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A son, Harry, and two brothers, Frank and Angelo Belmont, died defore her.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church with Monsignor Paul Whitmore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
Callling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Callaghan Funeral Home, Port Leyden, where a Christian wake service will be held at 3 p.m.
Donations may be made to the Lyons Falls Fire Department or Lyons Falls Ambulance Fund.
