• Obituary/Death Notice: Star Ledger, 4 Dec 1972. ⁵ Services for John C. Pozar of Hillside, a retired Hillside tax collector, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Haeberle & Barth Home for Funerals, 971 Clinton Ave., Irvington.
Mr. Pozar, born in New York City and a resident of Hillside 33 years, died Friday in El Paso, Texas.
Before he retired in April, Mr. Pozar was municipal tax collector in Hillside for 20 years. He also owned and operated a real estate and insurance agency in Hillside from 1949 to 1962. Mr. Pozar was a past president of the Hillside Lions Club, a vestryman of Trinity Episcopal Church, Elizabeth, treasurer of the Eastern Union County Board of Realtors and a director and treasurer of the Meritt Alliance Corp., Hillside.
Surviving are his wife, Anna; two sons, Richard and John, and five grandchildren.

POZAR - John C. on Friday, Dec. 1, 1972, of Hillside, N.J., beloved husband of Anna F. (nee Stusse), devoted father of Richard H. and John J. Pozar, also survived by five grandchildren. Relatives and friends, also members of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Elizabeth, Hillside Lodge No. 1591 BPO Elks and Hillside Lions Club, are kindly invited to attend the funeral service at Haeberle & Barth Home for Funerals, 971 Clinton Ave., Irvington, on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 11 A.M. Interment in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth. Elks service Monday 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Crippled Childrens Fund, in care of the Hillside Lodge of Elks. Friends may call anytime after 3 P.M. on Monday.

John married Anna F. STUSSE, daughter of Herman Jacob STUSSE and Ida May FINLEY. (Anna F. STUSSE was born on 27 Jul 1912 in Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, died on 22 Apr 1996 in Fanwood, Union County, New Jersey ³ and was buried on 26 Apr 1996 in Graceland Memorial Park, Galloping Hill Road, Kenilworth, Union County, New Jersey ⁶.)
