• Obituary/Death Notice: newspaper. ² Wilfred J. Wood, a retired Newark fireman, died Aug. 21, at his home here of a heart attack. He was 67.
Born in Willimantic, Conn., Mr. Wood lived more than 43 years in Newark before coming here 17 years ago. Until his retirement at that time, Mr. Wood was a Newark fireman 27 years. He was a member of Sunshine City Post VFW, St. Petersburg, and South End Court IOF, Newark.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Tillie Kieffer Wood; a son, Wilfred M. of Canoga Park, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Lorraine Hoffman of Wayne, N.J. and four grandchildren.

Wilfred married someone Matilda KIEFFER, daughter of Martin William KIEFFER and Louisa GREINER. (Matilda KIEFFER was born in Dec 1895 in New Jersey.)
