• Eastern Cherokee Roll: 19903, Elizabeth Hooker Pike. A hand written letter is in this application that was signed by R(?) Bowman and witnessed by Jas H. Pike on 26 July 1909:
"Robin Hooker was living in 1835 and was dead in 1851, his age was about 85, his wife was Sally Pike. His Post Office was Tom Clarks in Patrick Co. Va. in a mountain country.
The one that gives me this recommendation is about 88 years old and he has known Elizabeth Pike from a child and he knowned she was a kin to the Cherokee Indians."

Robert married Sally PIKE.
