• Obituary/Death Notice: Star Ledger, 22 Jul 1958. 28 Mrs. Vilemina Jedlicka Ulman Klecka of 56 Augusta St., Irvington, widow of Albert Klecka, died at home yesterday of a long illness. She was 83.
Born in Bohemia, she was brought to the United States and New York as a small child. About 65 years ago she moved to Newark, where she lived for 40 years. She then lived in Woodside, L.I., and Union before moving to Irvington last September. She belonged to the T.J. Sokol Society of Newark.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Helen E. Doerer, with whom she lived, four sons, Frank of Linden, Alfred of Carteret, Anton of Woodbridge and Emil Ulman of Metuchen; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Teyka of Bound Brook, and Mrs. Sadie Jirinec of New York; a brother Wiliam Jedlicka of Bryan, Conn.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

• Research Notes: Granny's Journal by Vilemina Jedlicka - Excerpt. 17 "I came to this country at age 7 years, 1881, with my Grandma Marie Mrkvicka and Fany Mrkvicka my aunt, on the Boat Main. We were 16 days, it was very stormy. We went to Cech to visit Grandparents on Boat Elbe in 1884. We had to stay until Father and Mother got the money they loaned. Then in 1895 we got back to the U.S.A. on the Boat Fulda."
