• Obituary/Death Notice: Easton Express, 18 Jun 1948. 8 Mrs. Anna S. Garis, wife of Joseph Garis, of 520 Greenwood street, Palmer township, died last night in Betts Hospital, where she had been a patient since Saturday. She had been in ill health about four years.
A native of Albany, N.Y., Mrs. Garis had resided in the Easton area about 33 years.
Besides her husband, survivors included a step-son, Harry C. Garis, of Weir Lake; a step-daughter, Mrs. Eleanor B. Rehrig, of Easton, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Clark, of Irvington, N.J.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Ashton funeral home, with Rev. W.W. Hartman, pastor of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church, Easton, officiating. Interment will be in Northhampton Memorial Shrine.

Mrs. Joseph Garis Rites - Funeral Rites for Mrs. Anna S. Garis, wife of Joseph Garis, of 520 Greenwood street, Palmer township, who died Thursday in Betts Hospital, were held this afternoon at the Ashton funeral home.
The Rev. W.W. Hartman, pastor of Beulah Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church, officiated and interment was in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Pallbearers were Herbert and Harry Rehrig, Harry and Jhon Garis, Raymond Clark and Elmer Stewart.
