Stasse, circulation manager of the Evening News, on which he had been employed for nearly twenty-two years, died at 4:30 o'clock this morning at his home, 344 Irving avenue, South Orange, from Internal Injuries suffered about four hours before, when he was run over by an automobile in South Orange avenue at the city line.
The automobile was driven by Henry J. Auth of 15 Stanley road, South Orange, business manager of the Star-East, and a friend of Mr. Stasse.

Mr. Stasse was born forty-eight years ago in East Orange, where he lived until last May. As a boy, he worked in the office of the Orange Chronicle. From there he went to the Orange Journal as a reporter. Later he became a reporter for The Daily Advertiser in its Orange office.
It was on March 1, 1902, that he entered the employ of the Newark Evening News, as circulation and business manager in the Orange office. In 1905, he was made circulation manager of the newspaper.
Mr. Stasse's wife was formerly Miss Ida M. Stucky, a sister of Police Captain William Stucky, retired. A daughter, Katherine, who is Mrs. John F. Kelly, and her husband lived with Mr. and Mrs. Stasse. Others who survive are Mr. Stasse's mother, Mrs. Mary Stasse of East Orange, three brothers, Police Recorder Edward L. Stasse and B. Frank Stasse both of East Orange, and William Stasse of New Haven, Conn., and a sister, Mrs. Herbert Simcox of East Orange.
Many years ago Mr. Stasse's father, who was an electrician for the East Orange Fire Department, was killed when he touched a live wire and fell from a pole. At the time he was in charge of the fire alarm system.
Mr. Stasse was a member of the Hope Lodge, F & A.M. of East Orange, of the Newark Conclave of Heptamophs and of the Sanford Street Methodist Episcopal Church of East Orange. He was active in several building and loan associations, including the News-dealers' Building and Loan Association, of which he was president.
Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday afternoon, Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
